A wedding ceremony in Nigeria has attracted widespread attention after the bride was reportedly filmed snoozing during her church service, while her groom was seen repeatedly yawning throughout the proceedings.

The incident occurred during a church wedding that reportedly stretched on for several hours, leaving the couple visibly exhausted at the altar.

Eyewitnesses said the bride appeared overwhelmed by fatigue and briefly fell asleep while seated beside her groom.

The groom, according to attendees, also struggled to stay alert, yawning multiple times and shifting uncomfortably as the service continued.

Guests at the ceremony attributed the exhaustion to prolonged delays and extended religious rituals, which caused the event to run longer than expected.

Despite efforts by family members and church officials to maintain order and keep the ceremony moving, the atmosphere reportedly reflected growing fatigue among participants as the service progressed.

Observers noted that lengthy wedding ceremonies are not uncommon in some Nigerian churches, where services can extend for several hours without sufficient breaks.

The ceremony eventually came to a close, but the moment has since gone viral on social media, drawing mixed reactions.

While some users found the situation humorous, others expressed concern about scheduling and planning for major events.

Many commenters used the incident to emphasise the importance of proper timing, adequate rest, and better coordination during weddings to prevent exhaustion for couples and guests alike.
