An alleged salary offer attributed to Moniepoint has surfaced online, igniting widespread reactions across social media.
The document, shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter), is claimed to outline a compensation package for a Quality Assurance role within the company.
According to the post, the annual salary is approximately ₦1.9 million, a figure that has drawn significant criticism.
The user who shared the document compared the amount to international earnings, suggesting it equates to roughly $1,300 annually, or about $115 per month, further fueling the debate about compensation standards.
Details contained in the alleged offer letter indicate standard working hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the possibility of extended hours depending on operational demands.
It also reportedly states that overtime may not attract additional pay unless approved by the company.
The salary structure outlined in the document includes a base pay of about ₦1,894,736 per year, subject to statutory deductions. It also mentions a performance-based bonus ranging from 0% to 50% of the base salary, depending on employee evaluation.
The development comes shortly after comments by the company’s CEO, Tosin Eniolorunda, regarding the difficulty of finding Nigerian professionals who meet global standards—remarks that have already sparked conversation about talent quality and compensation.
Online reactions to the alleged salary details have been mixed. While some users questioned whether such pay aligns with the expectations of companies aiming to compete globally, others urged caution, noting that the document remains unverified.
