Former Miss Switzerland contestant Beatrice Keul has accused U.S. President Donald Trump of raping her in 1993, expanding on previous claims that he had sexually assaulted her.
The allegations were published in a 53-page staff report released by Democratic members of the House Judiciary Committee detailing an investigation into Trump’s historical ties with Jeffrey Epstein.
Details of the alleged assault
Keul stated that she encountered Trump in November 1993 at the Plaza Hotel in New York during the Donald J. Trump American Dream Pageant.
She alleged that Trump offered to assist her with obtaining a U.S. visa and securing admission to New York University, promising to “take care” of her. Keul claimed that shortly after, Epstein approached her, identifying himself as Trump’s close friend and inviting her to a party at Mar-a-Lago.
According to the congressional report, Keul was subsequently escorted to a private suite in the hotel, where Trump allegedly assaulted her. Keul described the incident as a “brutal” attack that tore her dress and left her injured.
White House response and background
The White House strongly denied the claims, rejecting the report as politically motivated.
White House spokesperson Lauren Bis stated that the allegations are entirely untrue and accused House Democrats of attempting to create a political distraction. She emphasized that Trump severed ties with Epstein years ago and barred him from Mar-a-Lago.
Trump has consistently denied all allegations of sexual misconduct and maintains that he ended his association with Epstein before Epstein’s criminal activities became public knowledge.
