‘He must sleep with me before sending money for his kids’ upkeep, woman speaks on estranged hubby

A Nigerian woman, Ogechukwu Mary Eze, who previously went viral after revealing how her then-fiancé poured hot tea on her face before their wedding, has shared further details of the extensive physical, sexual, and financial abuse she reportedly endured before and during their marriage, which ended in less than four years.

She shared screenshots of past conversations, text records, and audio clips to substantiate her claims of recurring domestic violence and post-separation harassment.

Pre-wedding warning signs and alleged physical abuse

According to the woman, severe red flags emerged long before they officially walked down the aisle. 

Aside from the hot tea incident, she alleged that her fiancé physically assaulted her and locked her out of their residence prior to the wedding.

The incident forced her to travel from Ogun State to Imo State in the middle of the night. However, after receiving apologies and promises of change—including messages where he pledged to avoid physical violence and resort to keeping malice instead—she accepted the apology and proceeded with the wedding plans.

Allegations of non-consensual intimacy and financial extortion

The woman described severe marital trauma, alleging that her husband forced non-consensual sexual relations on her while she was still recovering and bleeding from childbirth.

When the alleged abuse persisted and financial support for their children ceased, she made the decision to leave the marriage. However, she claimed the exploitation continued after their separation:

Extortion for child support: When her children fell ill and required urgent medical or financial assistance, she claimed he refused to provide funds unless she met him at a hotel for sexual encounters. 

She stated she obliged out of desperation for her children’s health, after which he allegedly recorded the encounter and distributed it to others.

She shared audio recordings of a man aggressively banging on her door late at night. She alleged that he routinely turned up at her residence at midnight or 2:00 AM under the guise of visiting the children.

In one instance, after she forgot to bolt her door, she woke up at 1:00 AM to find him in her bedroom violating her personal space, forcing her to flee and stay outside her home until morning.

Realisation of her ex-husband’s character

Reflecting on her decision to remain in the relationship, the woman admitted that she initially felt “special” when he revealed that no previous relationship of his had lasted beyond two months.

She later realised the truth after searching through his phone during their marriage, discovering that numerous women continuously rejected his advances.

“When I realised say na rubbish I marry, na when I go through this man’s phone and discover that all the girls he’s always asking out… none of them agree for him. No woman was willing to even sleep with him or snatch him away… I was snooping to find out if he was cheating but ended up feeling sorry for myself.”

She added that despite his claims after their separation that he would move on and remarry, he continued to harass her. She confirmed that their children are currently staying at his house.
