Jessica Chiamaka Nwosu, the former wife of a London-based Nigerian man identified as Ugo, has publicly responded after he accused her of infidelity and announced the end of their marriage on social media.
The controversy began days ago when Ugo, whose full name was identified as Parklins Ifeanyichukwu, took to X to allege that his wife cheated on him despite his financial support during their marriage, including sponsoring her education.
He also claimed that the marriage had ended and alleged that she was deported to Nigeria after attempting to file a domestic violence case against him.
Reacting in a lengthy statement shared online, Ugo’s ex-wife denied the allegations and accused him of launching a campaign aimed at damaging her reputation.
According to her, the situation has subjected her to emotional trauma and public humiliation.
She insisted that she never cheated during the marriage and described the allegations as false and defamatory.
In part of her statement, she said:
“I never cheated on my former spouse, Ugo (Parklins Ifeanyichukwu), at any time during our marriage. These claims are entirely fabricated.”
She further alleged that she had been pressured to return to the relationship despite ending the marriage and claimed that private photos and videos of her had been circulated online alongside insulting comments.
The woman also disclosed that her legal representatives would begin legal proceedings against those responsible for the alleged defamatory publications.
“To protect my name, my dignity, and my well-being, my solicitors will commence immediate legal action,” she stated.
She added that the experience had been deeply traumatic, especially as a mother, and thanked individuals who had shown her support during the controversy.
The dispute has continued to generate reactions on social media, with users divided over the claims made by both parties.
