‘I’m bleeding. I’ll take action and plead self-defence’, man warns his wife who attacked him with knife (Video)
CCTV footage of the moment a woman attacked her partner with a kitchen knife has gone viral on social media.
The incident reportedly happened in Buruburu, Nairobi, Kenya.
The woman appears to inflict head injury on the man despite using a seat cushion as a shield.
The video bears a timestamp from the night of Saturday, 9th November 2024, and shows the woman in the sitting area of their home, drinking and dancing.
The man is not visible at first, as he appears to be watching from the doorway, suggesting he may have been locked out by the woman.
A young lady, believed to be a househelp, is also seen holding a baby at one corner of the living room while a toddler roams around unaware of the tension between his parents.
The video progresses to a point where the man is inside, sitting on a sofa sipping from what appears to be a water bottle.
The lady re-enters the room with a kitchen knife and the man grabs a seat cushion to use as a shield against the woman’s assault.
The lady lashes out several times but is stopped by the cushion held out by the husband.
It appears one of the strikes finally hits the man on the head as he can be heard telling his wife he is bleeding.
“I am bleeding,” he announces to the wife, who ignores him and continues to lash out. “I will be forced to act and plead self-defence,” he tells the woman who fails to heed the warning.
At that point, the man charges at the wife who flees out of the camera’s frame. It is not certain how the matter ended.
The video has got netizens talking with some suggesting that many violent clashes in the homes are started by the women who might later end up being the victims and the husbands branded villains.
One person wrote, “This is how they start violence and when the man gets an upper hand and successfully defended himself they will call him a beast. No one would believe this man if not for this CCTV video”.
