A lady, Vivian Chizoba, is trending after she posted her unique wedding pictures online. She looked glorious and happy in the pictures except that there was no physical groom.

A framed portrait of the groom was the only way guests could know who she was getting married to.

Vivian Chizoba posted the picture on a Facebook forum, “Igbo Rant,” expecting congratulatory messages from members.

But the photo ignited a wave of discussions about the usefulness of the ceremony as many argued that it was not a wedding at all since the groom was not physically present.

Someone noted that it was understandable for a traditional wedding or introduction but that it was not suitable for a church wedding, as no real contract could be signed by someone who was not physically present.

In her explanation, Chizoba said she met her groom who resides abroad on Facebook and they have been chatting and calling each other ever since.

She said they later decided to marry but her groom worked where it would be difficult for him to take time off to come home for the ceremony.

Chizoba said they decided to go ahead with their wedding plans nonetheless and the groom provided the funds to execute it.

They also secured the buy-in of their respective family members who could be sighted seated in the pictures.

Chizoba got herself a beautiful wedding gown, complete with little brides and grooms,  bridesmaids and groomsmen.
