Passengers abandon their bus mid-trip after drunk driver almost collided with truck (video)

A Lagos-bound bus was ditched by its passengers on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway after the inebriated driver narrowly missed a collision with a truck.

A viral video has shown the moment all the passengers in the bus disembarked and refused to go back into the bus just shortly after leaving Ibadan city centre on their way to Lagos.

The passenger who recorded the scene said the man was drunk and had been driving dangerously until he had a near head-on collision with a Dangote truck.

The passengers then asked him to pull over and they all disembarked from the bus.

The driver can be seen prostrating to the passengers to return to the bus to continue their journey promising to be of good behaviour going forward.

The passengers flatly refused and the driver can be seen returning with an empty bus to his base in Ibadan.
