The police in Jigawa have arrested 32-year-old man, Samuel Segun, over the k!lling of his biological mother.
It would be recalled that Esther Adekanla, a successful restaurateur, popularly called Hadiza Nakow, was found lifeless in her house in Dutse.
Her daughter was found unconscious and locked up in a store room. The police immediately launched an investigation to unravel the perpetrator of the dastardly act.
The State commissioner of police, CP. AT Abdullahi, said following the investigation, detectives from State Criminal Investigation Department, Dutse, arrested the suspect opposite Awajil filling Station Dutse, in connection with the case.
CP Abdullahi noted that the suspect was arrested via tracking of the deceased phone number, which linked him to the offence.
