An Atlas Air Boeing 747 erupted into flames mid-air shortly after take-off as terrifying footage captures the terrifying moment.
The jet was forced to make an emergency landing after catching fire mid-air when the cargo plane experienced an engine malfunction just minutes after departure from Miami International Airport. In shøcking footage, the plane’s left wing is seen on fire in mid-air.
According to FlightAware, the $400 million dollar plan set off from Miami Airport at 10.32 pm before being forced to loop back over the city just minutes later at 10.46 pm after huge sparks were seen coming out from the aircraft. A Miami-based eyewitness captured the moment the plane caught on fir£ and passed by the ocean.
They quickly contacted Miami Dade County Emergency after noticing the horrific blaze. The eyewitness was praised by authorities for letting them know.
