A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to call out a primary school in London for shoddy handling of a case of a teacher assaulting her 10-year-old nephew on the school playground.

According to the lady, identified as Victoria Azubuike on TikTok, the teacher at Christ The King R.C Primary School, identified as Tracy, accused the pupil of standing on the wrong stairs and proceeded to push and punch him.

Victoria said the boy was punched in the chest and neck and had to be taken to Accident and Emergency when he complained of pain.

The family were aggrieved that the boy was handed a suspension letter upon the assault, while the accused teacher continued to teach in the school.

“I can’t believe I’m even writing these words, on Sunday I went to visit my Aunty and saw her kids were at home, I asked why and she explained her 10 years old was dragged to the wall and punched by one of his teachers multiple times in the middle of the playground for all the other kids to see because he was standing on the wrong stairs at Christ The King R.C Primary School in Islington, London!

The 10 year old had to go to A&E immediately after reporting severe pains across his chest and back areas. They initially (suspended) the 10 year old without any investigation due to what the teacher had said. Until one of the supply teachers who was on duty and in the playground reported the incident and shared his own version confirmed the exact version of the 10 year old, which was when the school took the necessary action to remove the suspension whilst several children went home to tell their parents the exact same version of what they had seen, and the parents who knew my Aunty personally contacted her immediately.

For the last three weeks 3 of her children who attended the school have been at home whilst she has been looking for a new school. Whilst the teacher is still on the school premises and no answers have been given to the family. The three children who once went all to the same school have now been divided, with two going 2 one school and 1 going to another primary school making unnecessary and a difficult school run for my Anuty.

Schools should be a place of safety for our children, not parents in FEAR that unthinkable instances like this could EVER happen. We’re calling for answers from @Metropolitan Police UK @Mayor of London @Ofsted every authority who cares for the safety of children for immediate answers, no child should ever experience something like this in their childhood. #protectourchildren #protectourchildrenlondon #primaryschool #londonprimaryteacher #londonprimaryschool
