Police track down married man who st@bbed side chick’s sons after she dumped him

The Zimbabwe Republic police have tracked down the married man who k!lled the son of her side chick and wounded another after she announced an end to their relationship.

The incident happened on Sunday night in Mufakose, a rural part of Harare, Zimbabwe.

Thomas Nyamhunga refused to take a no for an answer after his side chick, Needmore Mauka, told him they needed to end their relationship because of his wife’s harassment.

Mauka said Nyamhunga’s wife knew of her affair with her husband and was harassing her, sending her threatening messages.

She said she then decided to end the relationship to have her peace of mind. But Nyamhunga tried to convince her to change residence so that his wife would not be able to trace her, while they continued their relationship.

When Mauka refused, he went into a rage and went into her home to attack her children while she was away in a stadium watching their local football team.

He disappeared into thin air after the attack, prompting a manhunt by the Zimbabwe police.

The news of his arrest on Tuesday drew praise from Zimbabweans.

Thomas Nyamhunga, will now face trial for the murder of Emmanuel Tinenyasha Mauka (aged five) and the attempted murder of Andile Tawananyasha Mauka (aged eight), after he was arrested in Waterfalls, Harare.

He was found at a house in Waterfalls where he had gone into hiding.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed Thomas Nyamhunga’s arrest to The Herald.
