The Nigerian Navy has allegedly taken delivery of the controversial presidential yacht, said to be worth about N5 billion since June.
The Chief Whip of the Senate, Ali Ndume, on Friday, November 3, had disclosed that the yacht had been delivered to Nigeria before the public outcry.
Confirming the delivery, the Director of Information, Nigerian Navy, Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan, in an interview on Saturday, November 4, said that the yacht had been in the country since June, 2023.
He, however, disclosed that the yacht had not been used because it had not been paid for.
