‘My fans scattered the show’ Portable recounts how he frustrated a show promoter who wanted to run with his money in Italy (Videos)
Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has narrated how he frustrated a show promoter who wanted to sit on the money sprayed on him by his fans in a show in Italy.
A video trended online, showing Portable threatening to beat up a show promoter who insisted that money spayed during the show belonged to the show promoter, while the money paid to the artiste was the artiste’s.
Portable can be seen in the video abusing the show promoter, who was about to drive away. When the show promoter responded that any money thrown at him belonged to the show promoter while the money put in Portable’s pocket belonged to the singer, he (Portable) charged at him and kicked his car, threatening to beat him up.
Reacting after a video of their clash went viral, Portable said it is wrong for him to do all the hard work only for a show promoter to take the financial gains. He pointed out that a similar thing happened to him in Roma when they wanted to attack and kidnap him.
He claimed that he yelled for help and his fans came to his aid, disrupting the show.
He said in Yoruba: “Why will you spray celebrity money and show promoter will want to lay claim to it?”
