Pregnant woman, her two children and one other, k!lled as LASTMA and driver drag steering wheel in Lagos
An attempt by some LASTMA officials to apprehend a driver went horribly as the vehicle being driven by the driver rammed a tricycle, killing four persons, including a pregnant woman and her two children.
The incident happened at Ago Palace Way in Lagos State this morning, Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
The accident reportedly happened after the driver being apprehended fought the LASTMA official in the vehicle with him for control of the wheel while the vehicle was in motion.
The speeding vehicle collided with a commercial tricycle carrying the pregnant woman and her two children. They all died with the keke rider on the spot.
A graphic video obtained shows the lifeless body of the keke rider, a young man, laying on the floor with his head cr¥shed beyond recognition.

“Something happened in my area this morning. A driver was arrested by the police, one of them got into his car, while the others followed, on the way to the station, at the okota roundabout, the driver decided to play a fast one and diverted to ago palace way.
While in motion, the police man and driver began to contest for the steering wheel. Eventually they both lost control and the car hit a tricycle (keke). In the tricycle, A woman with her two kids and the rider. All of them died. May their soul Rest In Peace.
Now passerby begin to deliberate on the issue and everyone pointed blames at the police for not effectively carrying out their duties thus endangering lives in the process.
