Mohbad laid to rest in Ikorodu
Nigerian singer, Promise Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has been laid to rest in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The 27-year-old singer died on Tuesday, September 12 after he visited the hospital to complain about a certain ailment.
Reports indicated that he was treated for an ear infection and was given an injection, after which he reportedly passed out and never recovered.
There have been other speculations including that he had a heart complication as a result of drugs, but there is no evidence to back this up.
There is also the angle of his depression arising from his fallout with his former record label, Marlian Records.
It was alleged that he was heartbroken about the way he was treated by his record label, which reportedly went as far as badmouthing him to show promoters who showed interest in the artiste.
Amid the controversies, the singer was buried today, September 13, according to Islamic rites.
Clips from the burial circulated on social media showed the many people wailing as the body of the promising musician was lowered into the ground.
There were reportedly no representatives from his former label at the burial.
