A trending video has shown the moment a group of soldiers descend on a random official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASMA) in an apparent reprisal for the flogging of a soldier by a LASTMA official last week.
In the earlier incident, a LASTMA official was seen repeatedly hitting a soldier with a baton after the two had a face-off over traffic violations.
The soldier had been sitting in the passenger seat of a commercial bus when he engaged the LASTMA official in a war of words that quickly escalated to an exchange of punches.
The LASTMA official put his baton or plastic pipe to good use against the soldier before someone held the baton.
Now, in an apparent reprisal, a group of soldiers can be seen in a new video beating and kicking a LASTMA official on the ground.
The official can be heard pleading with them, but it did not stop the beating until the soldiers were satisfied.
