The National Welfare Officer and member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Barrister Friday Nwosu, is dead.
The APC confirmed the development on its official Twitter handle.
The party wrote: “Words are not enough to describe the monumental loss brought by the passing of the Party’s National Welfare Secretary, Sir Friday Nwanozie Nwosu, on the APC family. May his soul rest in peace.”
The lawyer died on Thursday, March 9, 2023, in an Abuja Hospital after a brief illness.
It was gathered that Nwosu, who was discharged on Wednesday from the same hospital for an undisclosed ailment, went back on Thursday for a routine check-up before he passed on.
The former Abia governorship candidate under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was elected to the ruling APC NWC at the June 2022 National Convention of the party.
