Man narrates how scarcity of cash almost reduced him to a beggar after his car tyre went flat

A man has recounted how he had to beg for assistance in the streets after his car tyre went flat.

He said the current unavailability of cash in the country meant that he could not pay the vulcaniser to pump his tyre.

He added that the nearest POS didn’t have cash and the vulaniser refused to accept transfer.

He approached someone to beg for cash but the person declined.

When no one on the street would help, he had to call a friend to come to his rescue.

Read his story below.

“This unavailability of cash is seriously a cause for concern. I got a flat tyre late last night and had no single cash to get it pumped.

Vulcanizer won’t accept transfer or do it for free. Nearest POS operator does not have cash. First passerby I asked for assistance declined.

Second person looked at me like I wanted to kidnap her. I didn’t want to look like a corporate beggar on the streets of Lagos. I had to call @YinkaLagos who came about 20 mins later to my rescue. Imagine almost getting stranded because of N200.”
