Obasanjo places Obi on his seat, declares: ‘My job is done!’ (Video)

A video clip has shown the moment former Nigerian president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, dramatically gave up his seat for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

The drama played out at an undisclosed event.

The former Nigerian leader was preparing to leave when he took the microphone to make some remarks before going to take Obi, former governor of Anambra State, by the hand and leading him to the table of eminent personalities where he was seated before standing up to make his remarks.

He led Obi to the chair and gestured him to sit down.

The former president declared just then, “My job is done” and makes for the exit as the guests at the event laughed and applauded him.

Obasanjo has not openly endorsed any presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, but many of Obi’s supporters believe this is a symbolic endorsement of the candidate by President Obasanjo.
