The controversial cleric, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, better known as Odumeje, was beaten today as he tried to stop agents of the state government from demolishing his church.
The church, the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry in Onitsha was demolished by the Anambra State government.
It was learnt that it was in line with the urban renewal plan for Onitsha that Governor Charles Soludo is directing.
The building, which was built alongside Nwagene brook, was levelled.
It was while the prophet, also called Indaboski, was trying to stop the task force officials that tempers flared and he was slapped and pushed around.
