Port Harcourt babe visiting Facebook lover in Lagos goes dumb after night of romp

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin

A Port Harcourt-based lady visiting a boyfriend she met on Facebook at his Iyana-Isashi, Lagos apartment recently created severe anxiety for his host and his neighbours when she suddenly became mute.

The young lady, who hails from Benue State, lost her ability to speak after spending the night with her lover.

The lady was reportedly all right until she took a sachet of water and went outside to brush her teeth.

Done with brushing her teeth, the lady could no longer talk.

Her lover in a panic called in neighbours who, after trying fruitlessly to get the lady to explain what happened to her overnight, called in the police.

The lover was suspected of having done something to her during the course of the night.

However, the suspected lover said nothing strange happened overnight beside the fact that the two enjoyed themselves.

“I met the victim on social media, and we became friends and then started dating.

“Last week, she came from Port Harcourt to Lagos to visit me. We spent time together everything was okay until the next morning when she woke up and decided to brush her teeth,” the lover boy narrated.

“She took a sachet of water from the bag of ‘pure water’ inside the house. She stepped outside and by the time she finished brushing her teeth, she noticed she could no longer talk.

“I was scared because she spoke to me when she woke up that morning before taking water and going outside to brush her teeth.”

Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, told Vanguard that the suspect was arrested and later released when the victim’s parents came to the station and revealed that it was a recurring spiritual attack afflicting the victim.

Her parents insisted on taking the victim to their home town in Benue State to find a remedy to the issue.

“After verifiable evidence that they are her parents, the victim was released to them,” Hundeyin added.
