A Nigerian man reportedly called off his wedding because his wife-to-be only listened to the orders of her spiritual father.
According to Twitter user Chinedu Ihekwoaba, with the handle @thepoetpreneur, who shared the story, the couple’s wedding was cancelled three weeks to the D-day by the fiance.
”3 weeks to the wedding, my guy cancelled it bcos his girl’s mother couldn’t control her. She doesn’t listen to anybody in her family. Nobody can call her to order except her spiritual father. So, my guy had to end it to save himself future stress. Right or wrong decision?” he tweeted.
Reactions are mixed. Some tweeps argue that the prospective groom made the right call as the prospective bride sounded like one of the many women who have sold their souls to their pastors. Some others believe there might be other underlining issues not known to the friend sharing the story. They argue that the reason cited was not enough to cancel a wedding.
