Nigerian girl trends for trash-talking 2012 Benz, says she’ll only look at a man riding 2016-2022 models
“2012 Benz” is currently trending on Nigerian Twitter thanks to a voice note of a girl trying to shame a man for buying that model of Mercedes Benz.
In the voice note being widely shared on Twitter, the woman is heard saying that she will not take a man who drives a 2012 Benz seriously if he woos her.
She said she understands a Benz is more expensive than Toyota brand of cars, such as Corolla, but she believes anyone who wants to impress should not go and buy a 2012 Benz, which she said could not be more than N7 million.
She added that if her friend wants to buy a Benz, even if he doesn’t buy a 2022 model, he should endeavour to buy from 2016 upwards, not a 2012 Benz.
She noted that it was a major error for anyone to think he could impress her with a 2012 Benz, asking rhetorically, “Do you know how many cars I have entered?”
She added that she would never buy an old model Benz if she chooses to get a car.
