Second day of rage: Students burn vehicle, cause gridlock in Ojodu

Students of Babs Fafunwa Millennium Secondary School, formerly known as Ojodu Grammar School returned to the road on Wednesday in continuation of their protest over the death of two of their mates in an accident on Tuesday.

Recall that a truck which experienced brake failure rammed into students of the school on Tuesday, killing two and injuring 12 others.

This led to mayhem in the area as the students and hoodlums went on rampage in Ojodu, burning vehicles.

On Wednesday morning, the students reassembled and pelted vehicles passing with missiles.

In the process, a bus was cornered vandalized and then set ablaze.

Other motorists fled in various direction, causing pandemonium. Shop owners hurriedly locked up their shops and took to their heels.

A large number of policemen were drafted to the area to quell the protest.

A couple of hours later, the state government announced the closure of the school till next year.
