Nigerians dig up threat issued against Dr Chike Akunyili on Facebook

Nigerians have dug up a threat issued against the murdered Dr. Chike Akunyili, widower of the former director-general of the National Food and Drugs Administration Control, Professor Dora Akunyili.

The threat was by a certain Facebook user with the username Blossom Benjamin. She later changed the name to Nimah Nnenna when the issue of the threat became public knowledge.

Dr Akunyili, the widower of late NAFDAC DG Dora Akunyili, was shot dead at Nkpor, Anambra State, on Tuesday, September 28.

Following his death, Facebook users dug out a comment made in April by Blossom Benjamin, threatening to make the late doctor “pay” and “never go scot free”.

As the comment gained attention, Blossom Benjamin began trending on Facebook.

Nigerians also took to the post made by Dr Akunyili, where the user left the threat, to comment after the post went viral.

Nigerians have called on security agencies to fish out the person behind the name Blossom Benjamin.
