EFCC Chairman slumps at an event in Aso Rock (video)

A footage showing how the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, became uncomfortable and ultimately slumped at an event in Aso Rock, Abuja, today September 16 has been shared online.

The anti-graft agency’s chairman was giving a goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration when he suddenly stopped speaking.

Bawa was allegedly talking about a man the commission arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, with 116 SIM cards, when he stopped talking and rubbed his face with the palm of his left hand. He was swaying back and forth as he said “Please, excuse me, I can’t continue,” and left the podium.

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami and other senior officials at the event helped him get to his seat, but he slumped when he got to his seat and was rushed out of the statehouse, the venue of the event.
