Media, supporters barred as Igboho’s Cotonou trial resumes behind closed doors

Journalists and supporters of Sunday Adeyemo, the Yoruba Nation activist better known as Sunday Igboho, were disallowed from entering the court room to witness his trial today.

The activist was believed to have been brought to court very early to prevent any chaotic scene at the court premises.

His supporters who arrived the court as early as 7:30 in the hope of catching a glimpse of him were disappointed.

It was learnt that the trial of the activist was going on behind closed doors.

The activist’s cleric, Idris Oladejo, told TheCable that his friend, whom he “had been fasting and praying for, is in court”.

Beninese monarch who came to court to support Igboho was sighted sitting outside the courtroom.
