My side of the story, popular comedienne Princess who exposed Baba Ijesa
The woman who exposed popular actor, Baba Ijesa, has been unveiled as the popular comedienne, Princess Damilola Adekoya.
She uses the sobriquet, Princess for her stand-up act.
Princess in an emotion-laden video lamented how some people have been condemning her for moving against Baba Ijesa, accusing her of deliberately bringing him down from an Olympian height of fame and stardom.
“People have been saying all sorts of things because he is a popular actor. Is he bigger than God? Somebody that came to me for help…”
She narrated how it all began. According to her, when her marriage crashed and she lost a baby, she was devastated.
“Some parents in my area, out of compassion, allowed their children to stay with me, so that I would not be alone. There were six of them, three boys and three girls,” she said.
About the same time, she recalled, Baba Ijesa came to her for assistance and she decided to assist him.
“I registered him in a lesson, he sat for GCE, and I tried to get him into UNILAG, in fact he was enrolled.”
Princess said whenever he needed her help, she did her best to render it.
She said one day, Baba Ijesa visited her. The other children had gone out to play leaving the seven year old at home with her.
She said an aunt who had been visiting was going that day, so she escorted her downstairs to open the gate for her, leaving Baba Ijesa and the little girl in the flat.
She estimated that she did not use more than four minutes before she returned but by the time she returned, she sensed something had happened, but could not tell what exactly.
She said the suspect had warned the girl not to say anything and so the girl did not speak up.
Princess alleged that Baba Ijesa returned the following day and said he bought something for them and the girl should follow him to the car to bring it up.
She further alleged that Baba Ijesa molested the girl in the car, even using his car key on the girl.
According to her, the experience negatively impacted the girl academically and otherwise, but she did not know what happened until recently, when the girl confided in her (Princess’) friend.
She said because she knew the calibre of a person she was dealing with, she decided to enlist the support of CCTV service providers who helped her install cameras in the house.
The comedienne then called Baba Ijesa to see her and he subsequently fell into the set trap.
