Occupants of car crushed by 40-ft container in Lagos offer appreciation (Photos, Video)

The occupants of a car crushed by a 40-ft container at Ojuelegba, Lagos, have taken to Instagram to offer appreciation to God and to those who rescued them.

Three students – two women and one man – ordered a ride on Bolt on Sunday, September 19 from their school.

When they got to Ojuelegba, a “40-feet container” fell on their car and crushed it.

The entire car was covered by the container, with only a tiny part of the left back tyre showing.

Rescuers had little hope anyone would remain alive after the accident, as they struggled for hours to remove the container.

To the delight of the rescuers and bystanders, when the container was finally lifted, all the occupants were found alive and they were ultimately rescued after some parts of the car was cut to free them.

The ladies have taken to Instagram to thank God for their lives. They also thanked those who came to their assistance.

They shared footage of the wreckage they were pulled out from and pictures of themselves in the hospital.
