Tonto Dikeh drags ex-lover, Prince Kpokpogri to police over nude pictures, blackmail
Nigerian popular actress, Tonto Dikeh has dragged her ex-lover, Prince Kpokpogri to the police over a series of allegations, including possession of nude pictures and blackmail.
A microblog, Gist lover, had earlier reported that Prince Kpokpogri was arrested, but he has debunked this information, as he claimed he was in his house.
The petition written on behalf of the actress by Festus Keyamo, accused Prince Kpokpogri of being a serial blackmailer, who collected about N8 million from Dikeh. The letter claimed the accused had only been able to pay back N6 million from it.
Dikeh alleged in the petition that the accused planted CCTV cameras in her house to record her nudes which he now threatened her with.
The petition was entitled: BLACKMAIL EXTORTION AND OBTAINING BY FALSE PRETENCES AGAINST A CERTAIN PRINCE KPOKPOGRI JOSEPH
“We are solicitors to Miss Tonto Dikeh, and it is on her instruction that we write —- — this petition to your esteemed office. We have been briefed as follows, —- That sometime in June, 2021, one Prince Kpokpogri Joseph started to court our — client with a proposal to marry her. In the process, he would invite our client to his residence and sometimes he came over to our client’s residence. Unknown to our client, the said Joseph Kpokpogri (who our client later discovered to be a serial blackmailer) had other motives for courting.
“… planted closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV cameras) at private areas of his residence, and had stage-managed those visits with the aim of blackmailing our client. She was surprised when sometime in August, 2021, the suspect started demanding money from her and threatening to expose nude pictures and other such documents relating to her…”
Kpokpogri was also accused of failing to return a Toyota Hilus 2021 model registered in the name of Tonto.
In a live Instagram session, Kpokpogri denied the allegations, stressing that he was not arrested by security operatives.
He claimed that Tonto is holding his Lexus SUV car he bought for N65million and was respecting the law of the land, else he would have gone to her compound to retrieve it.
He said he was in his home and urged fans to remain calm and unmoved by the ‘stupid talks’ online.
