Kemi Olunloyo, daughter of the late former Oyo State governor, Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, has publicly distanced herself from the Olunloyo family following her father’s death on April 6, 2025.

She announced on her Facebook page that she would not accept condolences, stating, “I am NOT part of the Olunloyo family anymore.”

In a series of video statements uploaded to TikTok, Kemi accused her father of destroying their family unit through emotional and physical abuse.

She claimed that he presented different personas to the public and within the family, alleging that he was involved in occult practices.

Kemi also recounted specific incidents, including the alleged poisoning of her mother by her stepmother, which led to hospitalization.

She expressed her decision to sever ties with the family, emphasizing her intent not to return to Nigeria, even in the event of her parents’ deaths.

This public estrangement follows a history of familial conflict.

In 2016, Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo reportedly disowned Kemi due to her social media activities, describing her conduct as “utterly irresponsible” and attributing her behaviour to mental illness.

Kemi has previously made allegations against prominent figures, including claims that Pastor E.A. Adeboye was involved in a fatal shooting in 1971. She has also stated her unwillingness to attend her parents’ funerals, expressing a desire to avoid future contact with them.

These developments highlight the ongoing and public nature of the disputes within the Olunloyo family.
