Four renowned Nigerian gospel ministers have lost their lives in a tragic car crash that occurred along the Ikorodu–Sagamu highway in Ogun State.
The deceased include Evangelist Ayodeji David, popularly known as Kekere Jesu, Evangelist Iyanu Joseph, Monjolajesu Oluwapamilerin, and Opeyemi Adesina.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the accident through a statement released by Ogun State Commander and Public Information Officer, Florence Okupe, on Monday, April 7, 2025.
According to the FRSC, the fatal accident happened on Saturday, April 5, when the gospel ministers’ vehicle collided with another, resulting in a deadly impact that claimed their lives instantly.
Reports say the crash involved multiple vehicles and led to over 24 fatalities in total. Preliminary investigations revealed that overspeeding and low visibility contributed to the collision.
Kekere Jesu, known for his passionate street preaching and active social media presence, was reportedly on his way to a ministry engagement at the time.
Social media has since been flooded with tributes and heartfelt prayers from fans, church members, and fellow ministers mourning the loss.
