A driver was rescued on the morning of April 7 after his vehicle veered off Otedola Bridge in Lagos and fell from the height.
According to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), a video of the aftermath showed the car severely damaged. The driver was promptly taken to the hospital for urgent medical care.
Personnel from LASTMA, the Federal Road Safety Corps, emergency responders, and other security agencies swiftly responded to the scene of the incident.
While investigations into the exact cause are ongoing, authorities suspect that the accident may have been due to speeding and a loss of vehicle control by the driver.
