A dispute between two teenagers over a romantic interest turned deadly in Baburasa village, Niger State, resulting in the tragic death of a 15-year-old boy.
According to intelligence sources speaking to Zagazola Makama, the conflict erupted between 15-year-old Ragai Dike and 14-year-old Kefas Monday.
What started as a heated argument took a fatal turn when 25-year-old Sunday Baba, a friend of Kefas, intervened.
Amid the confrontation, Sunday Baba reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Ragai Dike in the chest.
Following the attack, Dike was immediately transported to the General Hospital in New-Bussa for emergency medical attention.
However, he was pronounced dead on arrival. His body was later documented and placed in the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Authorities have confirmed that the suspects involved in the incident have been arrested as investigations into the tragic event continue.
