In a major escalation of hostilities, Israel has confirmed the assassination of the newly appointed Hamas Prime Minister in a precision airstrike just days after he assumed office.

The targeted strike, which took place in Gaza, marks a significant development in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Israeli defence officials described the operation as a “necessary action” to neutralize a key figure within the militant organization.

According to military sources, intelligence reports pinpointed the leader’s location, leading to a swift and calculated attack.

“This strike sends a clear message—Israel will not allow terrorist leaders to operate freely,” an Israeli military spokesperson stated.

Hamas, in response, has condemned the attack, vowing retaliation against what it calls an “assassination of Palestinian leadership.”

The airstrike has also drawn international attention, with world leaders calling for restraint to prevent further escalation.

The situation remains tense as both sides brace for potential repercussions following the high-profile killing.
