‘I helped asake before fame, now he says I’m forcing myself on him’ – Alleged babymama speaks

A woman named Adijat, who claims to be the mother of Afrobeats singer Asake’s 11-year-old daughter, has accused him of neglecting her and their daughter since he became a star.
In a viral video, Adijat recounted how she financially supported Asake, whose real name is Ololade Odunsi, while he was a student at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ife.
She claimed that she regularly sent him money from her thrift savings (Ajo) to assist him, only for him to distance himself after achieving fame.
“I have an 11-year-old daughter for Asake. Before he became famous, I always supported him and sent him all my Ajo money when he was at OAU. He used to call me to thank me for standing by him,” she stated.
However, Adijat alleged that after Asake became successful in the music industry, he cut off communication and has refused to acknowledge her and their alleged child.
“I have tried reaching out to him, but now he says I am forcing myself on him. When my daughter was about to turn five, my mum called him and asked if I hadn’t informed him that my dad was pressuring me about the situation. He admitted he was aware but said he felt I was pushing myself on him,” she claimed.
According to her, Asake later warned her against contacting him, threatening to block her on all social media platforms if she continued reaching out.
Despite this, she revealed that the singer once sent her ₦1 million after his success, but she lamented that his support has been inconsistent.
