Pastor Daniel Olukoya, the senior pastor of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, has shared a chilling experience from his university days when he encountered a mysterious naked woman carrying a pot on her head late at night.
Speaking during a Sunday service, Olukoya recalled that in 1976, while studying at the University of Lagos, he and his friends had to rush a roommate to the hospital following an accident.
After their friend was admitted, they were asked to return the next morning. As they stepped out of the hospital, they saw a woman approaching with a large pot balanced on her head. To their shock, she was completely naked.
“My friends ran away,” Olukoya recounted. “But I stood my ground. I told myself, ‘Daniel, this is a spirit, and I will see it for myself.’”
Gathering courage, he confronted the woman, asking, “Madam, you look educated. Why are you walking around naked with a pot on your head in the middle of the night?”
To his surprise, the woman admitted that she had studied in the United Kingdom. However, a native doctor had instructed her to perform a naked sacrifice to free herself from family troubles.
Olukoya urged her to surrender to Jesus instead, but she dismissed his advice, replying, “Young man, mind your business.”
Reflecting on the encounter, Olukoya concluded, “Oppression can drive even the educated into bondage.”
