Controversial social critic Verydarkman has sarcastically begged gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, to reduce the money she is demanding from him as general damages from N1.1 billion to N5 million he can afford.
Recall that Chinwo slammed the activist with a N1.1 billion for defamation.
The lawsuit, dated March 3, was in connection with a series of Instagram posts by VeryDarkMan (VDM), in which he accused Chinwo of withholding earnings from her performances instead of remitting them to her former record label, owned by Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, popularly known as EeZee Tee.

VeryDarkMan in a video posted on his handles listed about seven individuals who have taken legal actions against him, lamenting that he could not afford to fulfill all the financial demands.
The activist pretended to be crying over his predicament, dabbing his eyes with handkerchiefs as he mocked Mercy Chinwo by singing some of her songs to plead for forgiveness.
He claimed he could only afford N5 million.
He wrote the following caption with the video: “Una go kee me, the money wey dey inside the NGO sef no reach that amount. I know this case is not a case I can go on, so it is better I tender an apology. Mercy, don’t let the devil use you. I don’t have N1bn to pay in case you win. Abeg, I am not saying you should not sue, reduce the money, maybe to N5m.”
