Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has accused Senate President, Godswill Akpabio of deliberately frustrating her in the upper chamber because she refused to have a sexual relationship with him.

The Kogi Central lawmaker made the shocking allegation while appearing on Thisday this morning.

She claimed that Akpabio had been using his position to suppress her legislative contributions and deny her rightful privileges in the Senate.

According to Akpoti, the Senate President’s actions stemmed from her rejection of his advances.

She claimed that Akpabio had resorted to political victimization as a form of retaliation, making it difficult for her to function effectively as a senator.

“My issue with Akpabio started on the 8th of December, 2023”, she said, narrating how Akpabio allegedly held her hand and told her he would bring her to his palatial home in Akwa Ibom so they could enjoy themselves.

“My case is a case of a student being punished by a lecturer for refusing to sleep with him,” she concluded.

Akpoti’s allegations have sparked reactions across political and social circles, with many calling for an independent investigation into her claims.

Some Nigerians have taken to social media to express outrage, demanding accountability and fairness in the legislative body.

Meanwhile, Senate President Akpabio is yet to respond to the accusations.

However, his aides have dismissed the claims as baseless and an attempt to tarnish his reputation.

Microsecondnews recalls that Natasha-Akpoti once accused former Presidential Aide, Reno Omokri, of making a pass at her despite being married.

Reno was able to demonstrate that he was not in even in Nigeria during the event Natasha claimed the event happened.
