Bandits kidnap three students in Ondo, demand N15m ransom

Armed bandits have abducted three students at a farm in Oke Oge, Oba Ile, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The abducted students are of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (FECA) and they were said to be returning home on Saturday evening, February 8, 2025, when they were arrested.

Reports indicated that the students were attached to the farm for industrial training.

It was further gathered that the farm, which specializes in growing pepper and tomatoes, is located near the Akure Airport, and is owned by a former commissioner in the state.

The Commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, said security operatives had been deployed to track down the kidnappers and rescue the victims.

The spokesperson of the police command in Ondo State, Funmi Odunlami, also confirmed the incident, adding that anti-kidnapping operatives had been dispatched to the scene.

A family source has now revealed that the kidnappers have demanded a N15m ransom for the victims’ release.
