A 23-year-old Colombian woman infamously known as “La Muñeca” or “The Doll,” Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, has been apprehended for her involvement in a series of high-profile murders, including the ambush-style killing of her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus.
According to the Magdalena Medio Police, Rodriguez orchestrated her ex-lover’s murder under the guise of resolving a money dispute.
After luring him to a meeting, two men on motorcycles fatally shot him on her orders. This incident is just one of many crimes linked to Rodriguez, who reportedly led a network of hitmen that terrorized the region of Barrancabermeja.
In addition to Rodriguez, two accomplices were arrested: Paula Valentina Joya, alias “Gorda Sicaria” (Fat Hitwoman), and another individual known as “Leopoldo.”
Authorities confiscated a revolver and a 9mm pistol during the arrests, which are now being examined for links to other homicides.
Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Herrera stated that the arrests have brought a sense of calm to the region and marked significant progress in dismantling local criminal operations.
However, formal charges against Rodriguez and her accomplices are yet to be announced.
