Mark Zuckerberg, the billionaire founder of Facebook and CEO of Meta, met with President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
The meeting marks a notable shift in their relationship as the Meta chief appears to warm up to Trump ahead of his second term.
A Meta spokesperson stated, “Mark was grateful for the invitation to join President Trump for dinner and discuss the future of American innovation with members of his team.”
While the specific topics of their conversation remain unclear, their engagement signals potential collaboration during Trump’s administration
Reports indicate that Zuckerberg maintained communication with Trump in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
Following an assassination attempt on Trump in July, Zuckerberg praised the president-elect’s resilience, calling his reaction “one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen.”
Earlier this year, Trump accused Zuckerberg of conspiring against him and warned of severe consequences if the Meta chief engaged in any illegal activities during the election.
In a statement, Trump’s adviser Stephen Miller confirmed Zuckerberg’s commitment to supporting the president-elect’s reform agenda, calling it part of a broader movement for change.
