Four workers were burnt beyond recognition in an inferno that reduced a lounge and bar located along Baale Road in the Olodi Apapa area of Lagos State to rubble.
The Lagos Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said a distress call was received at the police station about 7:50 a.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
He said the police were told that the fire started around 7.45 am, at the lounge and bar.

He said the fire which affected the whole building, was eventually put out.
“Investigation revealed that four yet-to-be-identified staff of the company got burnt beyond recognition in the fire. Their corpses were evacuated to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) morgue at Yaba,” he said.
