A female Senior Secondary 3 student of Akoko Anglican Grammar School, Arigidi Akoko, in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, is in police detention for allegedly stabbing her male colleague, Habib Salau, to death.
The suspect and the victim reportedly had an argument that escalated into a physical fight during which the female student st@bbed her mate outside the school premises after school hours.
The incident was confirmed to The Punch by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Abayomi Oladipupo, when he paraded 12 other suspected criminals at the command’s headquarters in Akure.
The commissioner said the matter had been referred to the Criminal Investigation Department of the command for further investigation.
The other suspects paraded were linked to crimes such as murder, arson, stealing, attempted robbery, armed robbery, burglary and stealing, according to the commissioner.
