Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, is today swearing in the newly elected local government chairmen into office.
The swearing-in of the newly elected chairmen is currently holding at the Executive Council Chambers of the state’s Government House in Port Harcourt at the time of filing this report on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 4:30pm.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo disclosed this.
It would be recalled that the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), declared the winners of the local government elections, with 22 of 23 LGAs won by the Action Peoples Party (APP).
