Social media activist, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has finally apologised to prominent human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), over his recent accusations regarding crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.
The apology comes after VeryDarkMan had earlier alleged that Bobrisky bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop charges of money laundering.
In a video that went viral, VeryDarkMan claimed that Bobrisky had paid ₦15 million to EFCC officials to drop his money laundering charges.
Additionally, the blogger alleged that Bobrisky paid more to secure preferential treatment during his time in prison.
He also made some comments that allegedly disparaged Falana and his son, Falz, when Bobrisky claimed in the tape that the lawyer assisted him to get presidential pardon for a fee.
Falana and his son denied the claims and called on VDM to retract the statement or face a law suit.
VDM refused to retract his statement and asked Falz to direct his anger at Bobrisky who made the allegations in the tape.
But while appearing before Reps committee today, he decided to apologise to the lawyer.
The EFCC and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) have launched investigations into the bribery allegations, while Bobrisky has continuously denied any wrongdoing.
