A gas explosion at the residence of a Nigerian journalist, Abdulkareem Haruna, in Lagos has left a newborn baby in a coma and two others injured.

The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, September 29, 2024, causing severe damage to the property and traumatizing the family.

According to a colleague of Haruna, Hamza Suleiman, the explosion occurred while family members were preparing for the naming ceremony of the new born.

Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene, evacuating the victims and rushing them to a nearby hospital.
