Tito Jackson, brother to Michael Jackson, has died at the age of 70.
He was a musician and founding member of the legendary Jackson 5.
His children announced the sad news on Sunday, September 16th, 2024, leaving fans and family in grief.
Reports suggest that Tito passed away from a heart attack, though the Jackson family has not yet confirmed the official cause.
He is survived by his three children—Taj, Taryll, and TJ—who carry on his musical legacy through their group, 3T, as well as his grandchildren.
His ex-wife, Delores Martes, passed away in 1994.
In an Instagram post his children, TJ, Taj, and Taryll wrote: “It’s with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared deeply about everyone and their well-being”.
Tito’s death marks a sombre moment for fans and the music world, following the earlier losses of his brother Michael in 2009 and their father, Joe Jackson, in 2018.
