The remains of the late veteran singer, Onyeka Onwenu, were laid to rest on Friday, August 30, in Lagos.
Her funeral service took place at the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi. Her funeral was attended by Abia state governor, Alex Otti, Politician Peter Obi and many others.
The music icon, popularly called Elegant Stallion, died on July 30, 2024, at Reddington Hospital, Ikeja, after collapsing following her performance at the birthday party of Dr Stella Okoli, the Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
She was 72 years old. She is survived by her two sons, Tijani and Abraham Ogunlende.
